Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information CallMeNext collects, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain on purpose.
Last updated: October 13, 2026
1. Who we are
CallMeNext (“we”, “us”) provides a queue management app and website that lets people join queues and book appointments at institutions such as clinics, banks, salons and government offices, and lets those institutions run their queues. If you have any question about this policy, write to us at hello@callmenext.app.
2. Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you use CallMeNext.
- Account details: your name and email address, and a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider — we can never read it). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google name, email address and profile information.
- Profile details: an optional phone number and your preferred language.
- Queue activity: when you join a queue or book an appointment, we record the name (and optional phone number) you give, the institution and counter, your token number, and the times and status of your visit. We also keep your visit history, your favourites, and any ratings or feedback you submit.
- Notifications: a push notification token or browser subscription, so we can alert you when your turn is near.
- Location: if you use “Nearby”, your device’s location is sent when you search so results can be sorted by distance. We do not save it to your profile.
- Institution and staff information: if you run or work at an institution, we hold its details (name, address, hours, logo and photos), staff names, email addresses and roles, and staff invitations.
- Technical data: basic logs such as IP address and device or browser type, kept by our infrastructure providers for security and reliability.
- Stored only on your device: your language choice, recent searches and recently viewed institutions. These never leave your device.
3. How we use your information
- To run the service: issue tokens, show your live position, and notify you when it is your turn.
- To manage your account and keep it secure.
- To show institutions the queue they are running, and to power features such as favourites and visit history.
- To send service emails, such as account confirmation, password reset and staff invitations.
- To keep the service reliable, fix problems and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. What institutions can see
When you join an institution’s queue or book with it, that institution’s staff can see the name and phone number you gave, your token and its status for that visit, and your earlier visits to that institution. Institutions can also block a visitor from joining their queue. Institutions are responsible for how they use the information they see, and you should contact them directly about it.
5. Who we share information with
We use trusted service providers to operate CallMeNext, and they process information only on our behalf. They fall into these groups:
- Database, authentication and backend hosting.
- Image storage for institution logos and photos.
- Google, for Sign in with Google and for maps and place search used by institution owners.
- Push notification delivery (through Apple, Google and our notification provider).
- Email delivery for service emails.
- Website and app hosting.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and security of our users and service.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and queue history while your account is active, so you can see your past visits and institutions can keep their own service records. When you delete your account we remove you from any queue straight away, and permanently delete your account and personal information 30 days later. Signing in again within those 30 days cancels the deletion.
Past visits and bookings stay with the institution so it can keep its own records and statistics, but they are anonymised: your name, phone number, notes, push notification tokens and any comment you left are removed, and they are no longer linked to your account. Star ratings are kept without any link to you. We may also keep some records for legal, security or accounting reasons. Copies in our backups are removed as those backups expire. See Delete your account for the full list.
7. Your choices
- Edit your name and phone number any time in Profile → Edit Profile, and change your email or password under Account.
- Turn notifications off in your device or browser settings.
- Clear recent searches from the Discover screen, or clear the app’s data on your device to remove everything stored locally.
- Delete your account any time in the app under My Account → Delete account, or see how to delete your account.
- Ask us to give you a copy of your information or correct it by emailing hello@callmenext.app from the address on your account.
8. Security
Information is encrypted in transit, and access to it is limited by account permissions. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to fix problems quickly.
9. Children
CallMeNext is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Where information is processed
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where they do, we rely on them to protect it appropriately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed, and we will tell you about significant changes in the app or by email.
